About us

Seminole Prep and Performance Academy is a student-athlete development academy designed for families who understand that the pathway to high-level basketball — and long-term success — has changed.

With the rise of the transfer portal, NIL, and older college athletes staying in the system longer, today’s players face more competition than ever before. Talent alone is no longer enough. Preparation, physical maturity, discipline, and timing now matter more than ever.

Our Academy exists to give student-athletes an intentional advantage year — a structured environment where development comes first and exposure is earned.

Seminole Prep serves two primary groups of student-athletes:

  • Post-8th Grade Advantage Year For student-athletes preparing to enter high school or current high school athletes seeking an additional year to become stronger, more mature, and more confident before the next stage of their academic and athletic journey.

  • Post-Graduate (PG) athletes who have completed high school and are seeking an additional year of development and exposure before college

Both groups are intentionally reclassing — not because they are behind, but because they recognize the value of time, structure, and daily accountability.

Daily Structure That Builds Real Discipline

Students attend the Academy in a full-day, highly structured program that mirrors the demands of high-level athletics.

Each day includes:

  • Approximately 3 hours of academics, combining online coursework and in-person academic support

  • Approximately 3.5 hours of basketball training, performance development, and strength & conditioning

This structure teaches students how to manage their time, follow routines, and consistently show up prepared — habits that translate directly to high school, college athletics, and life beyond sports.

Academics With Flexibility — and Real-World Value

Students follow individualized academic pathways appropriate to their stage, allowing them to reinforce foundational material while developing independent learning skills. Tutors and facilitators provide daily support to keep students on track.

Beyond traditional coursework, the Academy places a strong emphasis on financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and life skills — subjects rarely taught in standard classrooms but consistently valued by parents, employers, and college programs. Students regularly engage with local business owners and entrepreneurs through classroom visits and discussions. These experiences expose students to opportunities beyond sports while helping them begin building meaningful professional networks early in life.

Basketball Campus

Seminole Prep and Performance Academy operates inside the premier Seminole Sports Academy facility, providing our student-athletes access to nearly 20,000 square feet of high-performance training space. The facility features four courts and 10 baskets, allowing for small-group instruction, skill development stations, team practices, and competitive play—all within a focused, development-driven environment.

In addition to our athletic training areas, students benefit from a dedicated strength and conditioning space equipped for performance training and cardio work. Separate quiet academic rooms provide structured, distraction-free environments where students can focus on their online coursework—creating a seamless balance between elite athletic development and purposeful academic progress.

Baseball Campus

Located within the Seminole Baseball Academy, our Baseball Campus offers 10,000 square feet of dedicated indoor training space designed for serious player development. The facility includes eight professional batting cages that can be fully retracted to create one large open turf field—ideal for team practices, defensive work, and live reps.

Players utilize two outdoor pitching mounds for bullpen and game-speed work, along with dedicated strength and conditioning space to build total athletic performance. Our HitTrax system delivers real-time hitting and pitching data with instant feedback to accelerate development. Quiet academic workspaces provide a structured environment for online coursework, reinforcing our commitment to developing disciplined student-athletes on and off the field.
